Student Illness and Accidents

We Love Our Students Like Our Own Children!

We love your children and know that no one loves them more than you!  If your child becomes ill or is hurt, we will notify you or the person you have designated.    Please be certain that we have all the necessary information in case of an emergency.

If your child has a special health problem, or he/she is highly allergic to anything such as pesticides, insect stings, etc., notify the office and the teacher.  There are certain procedures that must be followed and adhered to in order to administer medicines to children.  Therefore, no medication is given at school except maintenance medications.  We follow the State laws on medication.  If it is necessary for your child to receive medicine at school, contact the school and we will give you the necessary forms for you and your doctor to complete as well as the number for the LaSalle Parish school nurse.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND OVER-THE-COUNTER MEDICINE TO SCHOOL WITH YOUR CHILD.  THESE WILL BE CONFISCATED.  THERE ARE STRICT LAWS PROHIBITING THIS.  WE MUST FOLLOW THEM.  (Example of over-the-counter medication:  cough drops, aspirin, etc.)
